Festival Highlights Aerial Achievements
April 27, 2008 / Fighter Pilot and a sneak peek of Legends of the Sky 3D footage were featured at the First Annual Reel Stuff Film Festival of Aviation at the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) in Dayton, Ohio (April 24-26, 2008).
Screenings were held at various theatre venues throughout the three-day Reel Stuff festival, celebrating the diverse and colorful world of aviation as depicted through invited Hollywood studio productions and†independent documentaries. Each movie was introduced by an actor, producer, aerial coordinator or cinematographer associated with its production, and an audience question-and-answer session followed each screening.
Among the seven presenters and eight films screened at the inaugural three-day Reel Stuff Film Festival of Aviation were actor and pilot Cliff Robertson, presenting 633†Squadron, and Wilson "Connie" Edwards presenting Battle of Britain. Fighter†Pilot: Operation Red Flag and Legends of the Sky 3D (in production) were represented by producer/distributor Pietro Serapiglia and by Clay Lacy, the production’s aerial photography coordinator who also introduced Top Gun.
